Spotted Hen Nest

I have wanted one of these for ages so finally ordered one, it arrived really quickly, great packaging and I love it. I only have one complaint that on the picture the hen looks white with spots and mine is definitely a light cream colour. Never mind I still love!!!

I love my spotted hen but am unhappy that it certainly won't hold 12 eggs, we use lots of eggs so I have to store eggs in two places. It would be great if you could make a bigger hen.

My husband ( amazingly ) fell in love with this hen and bought it and he sits proudly in my kitchen. I agree with earlier comments though that the photo shows a white hen and ours is definitely cream and no way will the hen hold 12 eggs. I managed 8 medium and the lid was touching them. It really only holds 6 comfortably. ! But she's still a jolly little character in the kitchen. :)

I love the look of this hen egg holder and thought I could store all my eggs in it. Unfortunately to my annoyance I cannot store a dozen eggs in it, even the small ones which is frustrating so I still have to storesome in a cardboard carton - I have tried different variations of placing the eggs in a 'pyramid in the centre of the holder but to no avail. Shame, as the actual look of the holder is lovely.

I understand why others were disappointed. I bought this in the sale and had read all of your comments. For me it's a place to bring eggs to room temp. Top and bottom do not fit well together so maybe this supplier isn't really worthy of Lakeland customers for the future?
