Lakeland Spreading Knife

I bought this knife some time ago and I have been very pleased with it until recently. The handle of the knife has become very sticky and unpleasant to hold. I have tried cleaning it with no effect. The description says it is dishwasher safe and that is how I have washed it.

I bought this knife around 6 to 8 weeks ago. In the last week I started noticing strange bits of black on the worktop and on my bread. Yesterday I realised that the outer coating of the handle had started to flake off. It's only had normal washing (I don't have a dishwasher) and light use so it is disappointing to find that the product has failed. I no longer have the receipt so cannot return it to the shop but I do not recommend it. The knife was low priced and it appears you pay for what you get.

This is an excellent butter knife and spreads really well. As others have said, the coating on the handle does peel, however I was putting up with that because I liked the knife. After a year of use though, my knife has now snapped away from the handle and I have had to throw it away. A very disappointing lifespan and such a shame, as the knife itself was really good and I will miss it.

bought this as a gift for my father. He loved it but it snapped in half after less than a years use.

After using my knife for a few months it snapped in half. I was so disappointed. I didn't let it get me down, I went out and bought three more one for me and one for each of my sisters as they thought they were great as well.
