I bought two of the previous version and am delighted with them. You wouldn't think that it would make that much difference to spreading butter but it does.My mother who also has the previous version insisted on buying one of these as well when she saw them and says it is even better, if that is possible.
My children can now butter their own bread/crumpets/etc. evenly to their satisfaction and without any help from me. So useful, so frequently, that we have two, in case one is in the dishwasher. Nicknamed Excalibur in our home, because the boys love sticking it, blade down, into the middle of the butter (yes, they realise that Arthur's Excalibur came from the lake, so this is under poetic license!).
Absolutely perfect for sandwiches and toast. So good that my sceptical brother rushed out to buy himself one immediately after breakfast!
After using my knife for a few months it snapped in half. I was so disappointed. I didn't let it get me down, I went out and bought three more one for me and one for each of my sisters as they thought they were great as well.
What a fab knife. I know have 4 of them so I always have a clean one ready for use.
