"Great little mill" star star star star star This review is for an older version of this product This Kenwood Multi Mill is a very versitile attatchment to have in the kitchen. Mills herbs and spices in seconds, a must for whole pepper corms and nutmeg, is well worth the money.
"So usefull" star star star star star This review is for an older version of this product I was thinking about buying this long before I actually did; I shouldn't have waited as its so often used in my kitchen now from storing up garlic chopped then stored in olive oil to garlic and ginger paste to grinding fresh spices. The storage jars are of a good size and keep things really fresh; and the attachment very easy to use.
"Good mill but limits determined by moisture content of food." star star star star_border star_border Spent a 1/2 hour putting it through its paces yesterday. It is an excellent little mill. One nutmeg was transformed into powder in less than 20 secs and I can't wait to try it out on coffee beans. But tried it on garlic with a small chopped onion and it was not successful and neither were a few garlic cloves on their own. However, garlic and ginger, worked well. The storage jars are superb: glass with tough white tops, but I found the mill fiddly: instructions about the location of the blades, jar and rubber ring have to be read carefully - the ring fits in 2 places; only one is right.
"A very useful attachment" star star star star star This review is for an older version of this product I bought this attachment in March and use it frequently - once or twice a week. It is easy to use and, as the Chef sits out on the counter, there is no lugging another appliance out for small jobs. It's particularly good for processing garlic and chillies for stir fries and garlic and ginger for curry. Last night I used it to process raisins, pistachios and sugar to stuff a pershwari naan. The spare jars and lids are great for storing any leftovers, and the jars can go in the dishwasher.
"Very useful tool" star star star star star The first time I used this product was to grind a whole nutmeg. After 20 seconds, I thought maybe the nut had got stuck as it was no longer rattling in the jar but no, it was already ground to a powder. I have used it for all sorts of spices and also to grind coffee beans. The glass jars are a nice size and the lids help to keep things fresh. Definitely a product I would recommend to other Kenwood Chef owners.
