This book is brilliant, some of the recipes may be the same as the ones that come with the breadmakers, but there is an awful lot more besides. There is also a lot of usefull information,tips & hints, I Love it
I think the book is very good. It seems to be in agreement with the recipes in the bread machine's instruction book. If you add the ingredients in the order whichever recipe you are using says and make sure the amounts are correct then the machine does it all for you. I tried to make some rolls and they were not very good, flat and very crunchy but the writer of the book seems to know what mistakes we learners are going to make and she explains very simply where we may have gone wrong. Ah well, as my old Mum would have said, "Have another go, you learn by your mistakes and practise makes (nearly) perfect."
I purchased theBreadmachine Bible, to expand the range of recipesthat came with my machine.I understand the difficulty of recipe instructions beingcontrary to my machine instructions but one has to reverse the loading order.I made the Lemon Blueberry Loaf for a family gathering and everyone asked for the recipe who would have thought to make cakes in a bread machine.
I found the recipe booklet that came with my machine difficult to follow so I bought the "bible" - it is great!! It has been a long time since I hand made bread and this book is easy to follow and now I turn out perfect bread every time - I have even altered the quantities slightly to suit my sensitive tummy!! Not quite got the hang of making rolls but I'm still trying and the ones I make are edible! I have yet to make the tea breads but I wouldn't be without this book!
Well illustrated and loads more breads to experiment with but as a customer said all the ingredients are put in opposite order to the my bread machines recipe book. Have not tried it their way round yet. I found it very useful when making rye bread as my breadmaker did not have this recipe.
