Lakeland Buffet Server

We ordered this product just a few days before Christmas,as keeping all the food hot and fresh for lunch has always been difficult in our small kitchen. The item duly arrived but unfortunately was damaged and unusable.We immediately contacted the helpline and were pleasantly surprised by the response. The first question was "Would you like a replacement" and the second was " Do you want it for Christmas" The answer to both questions was of course yes. The replacement arrived on the next working day! This is excellent service, which is a bit rare these days. The buffet server proved to be as good as the service and did exactly what we wanted it to do, keeping the food piping hot throughout the meal.

I don't know how I would manage Christmas without my wonderful buffet servers.. yes I have 2 of them.. they are are invaluable. My husband bought me my first one as a Christmas present and I loved it so much.. then I decided I needed 2 so I treat myself to another one. I highly recommend them to anyone catering for a lot of people as they keep food at a high temperature without destroying your food. Christmas would be a nightmare without my buffet servers.

The buffet server works perfectly. However the large plastic lid falls off every time you lift it as the retaining clips are inadequate and not strong enough to hold it in place. Also I expect with time the clips will break off.

After researching this product on your site I was looking forward to bringing this home for use that evening.I have to say that it was a big disappointment. The first being the thin plastic lids. Secondly, the stainless steel containers are also thin and the edges are not neatly finished and look almost sharp.Thirdly, and more importantly, the large buffet tray does not fit into the heated base unit correctly. It wobbles and therefore does not make contact with the base.The base itself though is a nice brushed stainless steel and on testing, it heated up really quickly. But unfortunately it is going back as I feel £89 is too much to pay for an inferior product.
