Joseph Joseph® Adjustable Rolling Pin

My mum asked me to purchase this rolling pin for her in my last order. I was a little skeptical giving the previous reviews, but I ordered it any way. She is delighted with it. She has used it to roll; potato bread, pastry and icing. She talked so much about it I had to borrow it to try it out for myself. It is truly amazing. There is very little wastage because you don't end up with the thin ends. I used it to roll; shortbread, mince pie pastry, cookies and scones. I want one of my own now!! Niether of us have noticed any issue with the engraving on the pin. Maybe sometime in the future it would be good to be able to buy additional sizes.

I saw these in the shop and placed it on Santa's wishlist and duly received one this christmas. It is a brilliant time saver, no messing around wondering if the pastry is consistently thick/thin enough. The makers mark and measurements did not emboss themselves such that they were noticeable. The ONLY criticism, it desperately needs a 4mm spacer, for mince pies, 2mm is too thin and 6mm is too thick, how this was not picked up on during testing is beyond me, a seasoned baker would have seen it straight away! Thanks for a great product though!

Really happy with this rolling pin! I was a bit worried about buying it as people had written that you get a mark on your icing. I bought it to try out and was really happy with it! No markings on my icing! Although if there would be a 3mm circle I would prefer that size but the 2mm works fine.

I bought this rolling pin on a professional basis as I wanted all my items to be uniform thickness. It is brilliant. My biscuits are now all perfect and look very professional. My only criticism is that there should be more thickness options. I could do with a 4mm spacer as well.

I opened the packaging and discovered that the rolling pin had 3 sixmm discs and only one 10mm disc. I phoned customer services and received the missing disc the following day.Thank you for such good service. Unfortunately I don't find the rolling pin very satisfactory as a 4mm disc is needed for most recipes and the ends do loosen easily. however I think the general concept is a good one and only needs some design modification.
