Stainless Steel Straining Funnel

I've always been extremely pleased with Lakeland products but unfortunately this straining funnel has let them and me down. It arrived this morning so I rather excitedly made a batch of raspberry jam and attempted to strain out the seeds with this funnel to keep my children happy. It took absolutely ages to quarter fill a jam jar with me having to continuously stir and tease the jam through the strainer before I gave up and resorted to seeded jam much to the children's dismay!

I bought this for filling small bottles with blackberry vinegar. It's a perfect size for that. I think it would be useful for other home made liquid produce, sloe gin etc. I would imagine if its intended purchase were for jams and marmalades, it may not be up to the task as it is smaller than it looks in the picture.

We are delighted with this funnel. It is a very handy size for smallish amounts of straining (e.g to remove pips). The removable strainer comes out easily for washing. A useful addition to the kitchen.

Just to say this is not as big as it looks. I bought it for making marmalade but it wasn't suitable for this - the strainer has a handle sticking up which means you can't press down to strain and it didn't hold very much. However I received a full refund so full marks to Lakeland.
