I think this is excellent, folds flat and saves so much space. I use it as a colander, to wash vegetables, as an organic bin whilst cooking, steaming too obviously etc. It fits nicely in several sized pans. As it is dishwasher safe I can use all the time without having to scrub. My husband did manage to burn it a little whilst steaming veggies by putting the gas at full blast over the sides, but it survived ok, thankfully. Very good quality.
Before buying this product I read the reviews taking note of the negative ones as well. Having used the steamer on numerous occasions now, I think any problems people have had are because they let the water touch the bottom of the steamer, and this makes the cooking process slower. If the steamer is raised above the water (and you only need a little bit in the bottom of the pan), then it cooks just as quickly as any other steamer I have tried. It is an excellent product, and I love the way it stores flat and fits any pan.
Excellent idea for use in my caravan, I thought but could only fit it on a small pan & had to use foil as a lid as the saucepan lid just disappeared inside the steamer & compressed the vegetables I was steaming

This product is just great! Steams fast and efficiently and so easy to clean.
Bought this item as I thought it was just what I needed. I then had to buy a new pan to fit it. I now wish I hadn't bothered as I used the 2 together yesterday for the first time and my veg ended up barely cooked after 30 minutes of steaming. This has proved to be a very expensive mistake. Not recommended.
