Lakeland Small Grill Pan

A really handy sized grill pan for when you are only cooking for one or two. It's sturdy and easy to clean.

The rack of our older version of this finally succumbed to too much use and cleaning and started to rust. The new one is dishwasher proof which is much better. But the rack now sits almost level with the top of the pan. The old rack had two levels it could be used at. This has only one - too high. But, the wire legs are flexible enough that by bending them gently at an angle towards the ends of the pan a lower permanent level can be achieved. I used the 2cm height of the old one for comparison and it now works as well as the original .It's a pity that the two-level choice was removed.

Like other reviewers said, the handle can be a problem. I thought I had it sussed but upon putting it under the grill it came off. I checked and found I had put it on correctly, just more care has to be taken when moving the grill pan to under the grill. Other than that the pan itself seems robust and just big enough for two slices of bread.

It might be very small, but that is exactly what I wanted to fit into a mini oven. It is so easy to clean, comes out sparkling from the dishwasher. Very pleased with my purchase.

This is the perfect size for a single person with the added advantage of fitting easily in the dishwasher. However the grill is chrome plate and within a year had rusted through. Lakeland replaced it under guarantee and now the second one has gone the same way. I must emphasize I have only ever put it in the dishwasher and have never touched it with anything abrasive. Please source one with a stainless steel grill, I don't care what it costs, I'll have one.
