"If you're fixing on mixing...."

When this arrived I thought it was perhaps too big for my needs but it has proved a godsend. It really doesn't matter whether you have a little or a lot in the bowl, it does the job. It is not particularly light but that gives a feeling of substance and steadiness. It is no wonder these bowls have lasted and we can remember them in our mothers' kitchens. They definitely say 'serious baking going on here'. Get yourself one!

After reading one of the reviews I very nearly didn't purchase this bowl, but I rang Lakeland and was reassured if there was a problem it would be dealt with, so I ordered it and it's lovely, NO problem using my mixer with metal beaters or using a metal spoon, so please dont worry about this bowl.

"Beautiful and timeless"

Couldn't believe it when my bowl arrived on Christmas Eve, having placed the order 2 days prior. Gorgeous bowl which reminds me of the bowl my grandmother used to use. It is very heavy, so doesn't move around when mixing. It is also a very big size, meaning that baking in double quantities is extremely easy to manage. I love it!

I don't do much baking but, when I do, I really enjoy using this mixing bowl.It's got a 'vintage' feel to it, which I love. It's very sturdy indeed.
