I am so glad that I didn't read the previous review before I purchased the frying pan, it would have put me off. Thankfully I didn't! I have purchased both the 24cm and the 28cm and I am really pleased with them. I would recommend them. I can shallow fry and seal larger items ready for cooking they are both great value.
I bought the 28 cm version (but can't seem to leave a review there). The sides are too high for frying: they trap moisture. There is no curved rim, so poured-out oil runs down the outside of the hot pan and burns on, and you can't slide an omelette onto a plate. This problem is worsened by the thin handle, which does not give you enough purchase to tip the pan properly. The handle curves too far upwards, and the pan does not balance well. Perhaps these are reasons why these pans are discontinued? I would never buy one of these again and regret having done so the first time.
