Round Splatter Guard 5 "Perfect ... sort of" Ms Austin 08 December 2017 I have used one of these splatter guards for some years now, and have found it is the ideal size for smaller pots and pans. As for balance - well, I agree with some other reviewers that it appears to be handle-heavy. However, that does NOT make it useless. All one has to do is place a small item, for example a teaspoon, on the far side of the guard opposite the handle and everything is then secure with no gaps between pan and guard and no splatter.
Round Splatter Guard 5 "Splatter Guard" Mrs Lovell 27 October 2017 Bought as a replacement for one showing signs of wear after 12 years of frequent use. I like the soft handle on this one and, as the previous one, it is effective.
Round Splatter Guard 3 "design defeats practicality" John 29 March 2013 This was bought following the purchase of a new frying pan, smaller than the old one. Looked good and price was fine (£7.49). However should have looked at the comments of other users before purchase as there is a design problem. The soft grip handle appears a good idea but it is too heavy when the guard is used on our new pan so it tips over unless precariously placed with its handle on top of the pan handle - where it is not too safe. Wife is frustrated but I will overcome the problem by cutting off the soft grip. Why have it anyway? Sorry to be negative - first time.
