Insulated Butter Dish

We bought this item because we live in Spain and either it is too hot and butter melts in "ordinary dishes" or it is too cold in the fridge-well it does not work.During the summer we had 25 in our house it still melted and the fridge was 3 and it was the same as an ordinary butter dish!!! Also noticed some marks on the outside when it was put into the dishwasher so all in all not a good buy.

Works great.. If butter cold and hard, thats how it will stay! For butter to be spreadable.. just leave it out over dish to soften a while and will keep that texture all the time.. perfect for spreading!!

I was very disappointed with this product as even leaving the dish out on my kitcken work top (so at room temperature) the butter was not at all spreadable. Not impressed.

This was bought for me 2 years ago and started using it last week. I found that the butter is no different to keeping it on a plate in the fridge.

the above warning should have been in the product description, it was left for me to buy it, and see this note not to use it for sea salt butter. Please add this comment in the product description- some like salted butter, fortunately not me. I adore its design - it is gorgeous and I do not want a refund as it is just what I wanted. I give it 4 stars as would be better if could handle salted butter.
