"Best ever" star star star star star I have recently purchased this coffee maker and cannot praise it highly enough. It is so quick that one doesn't really need the automatic setting. Having read the previous reviews, I was somewhat dubious about buying it, but I am sure all the faults described have been ironed out, otherwise you would not risk your excellent reputation.
"Pity - its looks so good" star star star star star_border I bought this supposed 'super' product in Jan 2009. At first it was fine producing great filerted coffee. After a while it bagan leaking its condensed water down the back and all over the power cable connection - not good.and it never dries out. The final straw was after I used a cleaning product to remove hard water in the pipes it just gave up, only puffing steam and not hot water into coffee, the resultant coffe tasting foul! "From brilliant to failure" star star star_border star_border star_border Our family bought this machine in June 09 and, yes, the design leaves much to be desired in that condensed water does run down the back of the machine but we learnt to live with that as the coffee was excellent. My husband noticed that the lid did not fit properly - part of the hinge was missing. We returned it to Lakeland and obtained a replacement. The better fitting lid did not prevent the water problem but we fully appreciated the coffee!Unfortunately, last week the machine failed to perform. The lights functioned and 'brew' showed on the display but the heating element appears to have failed. We will be returning it to Lakeland and we use again our old fashioned cafetiere method! "Failed after 15 months" star star star_border star_border star_border Generally performed well, some condensation problems, then stopped working, lights up but no "perking", water does not pass through and no heat. "Plastic all buckled" star star_border star_border star_border star_border This coffee machine does make a nice cup of coffee, but does not do well in other departments. By that I mean the lid no longer closes as the lid is now buckled by the steam as the coffee is being made and we are talking a good 1/2" warp! There is so must condensation that I have to put a towel underneath it to protect my woooden table.
