Pudding Sleeve

This pudding sleeve was great - wonderful jam roly poly, ample for 4 people. kept a nice round shape. Easy to assemble. Recipes use 150-200g flour.

I was given the Pudding Sleeve as a gift from "The Wife", who although enjoys my traditional stodgy puds, was impressed (as was I) with my first trial pud (Spotted Dick) which was really light and was steamed to perfection. The sleeve may require a little more prep on my part with the oiling, as a little of the pud stuck to lining. It comfortably fed four of us, but most important was the extra good behaviour points I gained to allow me to go fishing this weekend.

I recieved this as a gift after raving about my Mermaid oblong tin, and was a bit bemused by it at first. Looking at it, I thought it would be an awful lot of hassle to use but I have to say it was anything but. As with the oblong tin, it cooked puddings perfectly and is ever so easy to clean. It's certainly changed my mind on making your own roly polys being too much hard work. They taste so much better than shop bought, and although there is enough for our family (2 adults, 3 kids) everyone always wants second helpings!! I'd definitely recommend it, worth a bit more time in the kitchen for the results.

We bought this item a couple of weeks ago and it arrived just in time for my wife to use it for a bacon roly-poly. No tryout or anything. A perfect pudding with ease of use and cleaning as well. It has now become an indispensable item in the kitchen. It makes these suet pudding dishes absolutely great!!! What's more it fitted in our Morphy Richards Intelligent steamer, another great product, so it was a meal all done together.

I have just completed all the recipes which came with the pudding sleeve, it is one of the easiest gadgets I have used. The recipes are excellent especially the jam roly poly and the blueberry pudding. Well worth the value. For anyone who likes their steamed puddings I would recommend this item.Ellen Moon Lancashire
