I have just baked my first fruit cake in this tin and it was perfect. Very good, even heat conduction. Delighted with the tin. Am now going to replace my 9" tin for one from the same series.
I bought this last year to make a birthday cake for my son that's large enough for plenty of party guests & cake for family. This is a heavy tin & is excellent quality. I use cake release & have never had a cake stick or leak on me. Another fab product from Lakeland - only wish is for a cake box to transport finished cake in - please !

i was excited when i got the cake tin for my daughters 1st birthday.when i put the cake batter in, it leaked everywhere as its a loose bottom. Because its really big there`s alot of batter.not happy at all.
Thanks for the review and taking the time to speak to me on the phone. I'm sorry that this hadn't worked for you. If making a sponge cake or anything that has a loose consistency we would recommend that you line the tin. However, we also recommend our PushPan baking tins in this instance? Although they are round, they may be suited to the customer as they do not have to be lined.
