Soda Stream Pure Drinksmaker

I admit I love gadgets-my husband thought this would be just another of them but he uses it far more than I do. We love sparkling water but the large bottles do take up a lot of room, are heavy to lug about and I do try to limit the amount of plastic I throw away. This is the perfect answer. The machine is smart and has a small counter-top footprint. I have bought spare bottles so there is always one in the fridge waiting to be carbonated. I notice we drink far more water (and less wine!) and it is much cheaper than even the least expensive bought kind.

I use this all the time. It saves loads on recycling plastic pop bottles, carrying heavy cumbersome 2L bottles, wasting fizzy drinks that have gone flat. This makes fab soda water to mix with anything! Really, really handy at Christmas and New Year! Why not try Heston B's method of fizzing wine to make Champagne! Give it a go - it works a treat!

We bought this because my husband loves sparkling water and we had previously been buying bottled water from the supermarket every week. Now we just fizz tap water as and when needed - even I now drink sparkling water everyday as it tastes so much nicer. Very cost effective - we are still on the first gas cylinder and BEST OF ALL - no more bottles to lug home from the supermarket !!

I received this for my last birthday, and absolutely love it. I drink sparkling water almost exclusively, so I get a lot of use out of it, but I don't know how good the mixes are. Its footprint on the worktop is small, it makes great seltzer, and it even looks good. I would suggest you buy an extra cartridge if you're planning on using it regularly, though, as the places to exchange them are few and it requires a special trip- frustrating in the middle of a busy week.
