Chopper Storer

Product number: 12486

Take the tears out of slicing onions, and chop peppers and potatoes in no time at all. The easy pull-down handle cuts food directly into the collecting box, which comes with an airtight storage lid. All components store neatly away into the container after use, and the chopper's non-slip feet prevent it from sliding around. For best results, halve fruit or veg before slicing or dicing.

Two stainless steel cutting blades and cleaning attachments included.

"Disappointing"

I bought this product because I suffer badly with stinging and watering eyes when chopping onions. It works well in that it keeps the chopped onions in a covered container but I found it very fiddly to assemble and is a 'nightmare' to clean. I have resorted back to chopping onions by hand!

I'm sorry to hear that you found it difficult to assemble and clean. We'll be in touch shortly.

I was a bit disappointed with this chopper. My last one was one of the original choppers but had cracked, so time to replace and this one seemed a great idea. However, there are three main drawbacks. Firstly, the diced pieces are actually quite large - too large really for children. Secondly, the fitting of the parts is a bit fiddly, especially removing the blade attachment. Finally, it is not dishwasherproof which I didn't even think to check before buying it. For these reasons, I'm going to stick with my old one until I can find a better replacement.

I like this gadget as it makes easy work out of preparing vegetable sauces for pasta. Chop the onions and peppers first and while they are sweating the rest can be prepared in a flash and stored together in the box. Add a touch of creme fraiche and then stir into the pasta! 5-a-day easy!

I found the product hard to use until I discovered how to tap FIRMLY on the top. The items go through the blades quite easily and certainly I have better results than chopping by hand. The blades are a little fiddly to clean but I can live with that!Another good product from Lakeland!

"Mixed feelings"

star star star star_border star_border

This item chops and stores very well. I did have a problem when I first had it as the fittings were very tight and I couldn't change the pushers, but they have now loosened up a little. My husband loves this gadget and can use it because he has the extra strength that it needs, but I have to say that I feel that it is not for the frail. You do need quite a bit of strength to use it or maybe need to develop a technique. However, if you can use it, then it performs very well.
