"Pudsey success!"

I just wanted to let others know that this cake mould has worked first time and I am thrilled. I followed the instructions on the packing and hey presto!! I will just mention I had to cook it for longer but I did over fill slightly. Thank you.

"Fantastic Cake Mould."

I was very impressed with the Pudsey mould which I used to make a cake as a raffle prize for my local Children In Need Coffee morning. I followed the recipe included to the letter and made sure the mould was well greased. It provided an excellent surface to cover with yellow fondant icing. I am looking forward to making this cake again later on this year and for many years to come.

"Silicone baking tips"

Mrs. Smith, I'd give it another try, it's a really cute mold. I design silicone bakeware in the US. When using silicone we suggest that you first prepare it by brushing in a thin coat of melted vegetable shortening, than dusting with flour. Prepare your cake batter as usual, then bake at a lower temperature for a longer period of time. If my conversions are correct, when a recipe calls for 350 degrees F = 180 degrees C or Gas mark 4, lower it to 300 degrees F = 150 degrees C or Gas mark 2 (slow oven). Then bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes away clean. For best results we also recommend that you allow the cake to cool completely before removing from the mold, because as soon as you remove it from the oven, condensation forms on the surface that touches the mold, which can temporarily soften it. If you can, wait until it's cooled and the moisture from the condensation is reabsorbed into the cake.I hope this helps, the Pudsey mold looks well made and should work well for you.Sandra LiraZanda Panda Specialty Bakeware

As in the title I think it says it all! Don't follow the recipe on the box! I was really disappointed with the mold, my first attempt, came out and looked fantastic, but when I came to slice the cake it looked all conjealed, it was cooked, but looked and tasted disgusting!!...2nd attempt the same outcome!!...3rd attempt, halve all the ingredients, so 4 egg mix, 2 tsp baking powder, 2 tsp of Vanilla extract, I didn't put it on a baking tray, went direct onto oven shelf at 180...30-35 min I have a Fan Assisted oven, it has turned out like all my other cakes!! Make a second one the same way!

support_agent A note from the team

Thanks for your helpful advice. Our buying team have re-tested the recipe on the packaging and advise that the time of baking will be 1hr 20mins and for fan assisted ovens the temperature should be reduced to 150ºC. To protect while cooking cover towards end of baking time with foil or double layer of greaseproof paper.
