Icing Colours Set

I got these along with new cutters to try and achieve more professional results with my decorating and they have certainly done that. The price seemed a little expensive but only a small amount of colour (I use a cocktail stick to dip in the pot) is required to achieve vibrant results. Not tried the black yet but I'm sure it wont disappoint as all the other colours have been excellent. Easy to achieve delicate colours too. No shop bought birthday cakes here any more!

had these bought for me as a birthday prezzie as I was so impressed by the previous reviews of the product. Well, they certainly lived up to those reviews! These gels are fantastic! the colours were lovely and vibrant (in the case of the ivory a bit too vibrant). I've been using liquid dyes for ages and found that not only can they be messy but they also don't cover particularly well when decorating a cake. I also found that they're non spill too so I certainly won't be without these gels now. (colours sold individually would be nice though, when one runs out)

I've been very impressed with each colour I've tried so far - the black is nice and dense, the red has enough oomph to colour even a white chocolate based icing, plus they combine really well - red and yellow made a stunning orange for Halloween.The gel format is great for maintaining icing consistency and very little is needed to obtain a good depth of colour. This 8 pot set will last me a very long time, so I do think the price is excellent, considering the fantastic quality and how far each pot will go!

I buy these gels on a regular basis and it actually works out cheaper for me than buying pots of gel colour one at a time. The colours are strong and vibrant and do not make fondant icing overly wet (helpful when doing dark or deep coloured icing) a little will go a long way, my only complaint is that they keep selling out so fast! I would love if Lakeland would do these in a bigger pot but appreciate that most folk won't use as much as me!
