"Fabulous Invention!" star star star star star I love my asparagus kettle! No more soggy asparagus, simple to use, asparagus cooked in no time. Just cover bottom of asparagus with an inch or two of water and the asparagus simply steams. Also useful for corn and for blanching vegetables using the basket.
"A little confused about how to use it ??" star star star_border star_border star_border My asparagus kettle was received as a Christmas present. I have not used it yet but it looks great. However, I was surprised and concerned that there was no instruction leaflet or guidance printed on the box about how to use it. I have subsequently learnt that the kettle should be filled with only 2" of water but as this was not described I could easily have over-filled the kettle. A lack of user instruction seems unusual for a Lakeland product and in this instance I feel that lack of any user information could have been potentially dangerous. support_agent A note from the team Thank you for placing your review. Simply cover the thickest part of the stems of asparagus in water and cook until tender. The steam produced cooks the more delicate tips of the asparagus at the same time.
"jam maker" star star star_border star_border star_border Yes, no instructions as to how much water should be put in the kettle. There could be a mark put in? The other point is that the handle on the lid got hot, which makes it difficult to lift. support_agent A note from the team Thanks for placing your review. We would recommend covering the thickest part of the stems of asparagus in water and cook until tender. The steam produced cooks the more delicate tips of the asparagus at the same time. You would need to judge the amount of water from the length of the asparagus
