I've tried quite a few different styles of skewers but (as my Husband likes to point out when testing any as he controls the BBQ of course) these flat sided skewers are so much easier to turn & control whilst cooking. So I'm going to stick to these from now on & buy some more!
Great for using both in the oven and bbq, being metal it help heat penetrate to the inner whilst cooking. Good grip too for the important turning.
Good quality and great for in the kitchen or bbq
I've just bought these and was washing them in hot soapy water as instructed, but it appears most of these skewers have a rough surface - I can only assume there is something wrong with the plating, as I imagined these to be completely smooth... It's catching on my micro-fibre sponge and I'm not sure they will get a good clean after food has been cooked on them. I'd be worried about the coating ending up in the food too. Not great.
