Have used this item for quite a long time now and wouldn't be without it. It's been in frying pans and had hard use. Another favourite is transferring veg from a hot roasting dish. Having a good width it's just perfect. It has never lost its shape and when it eventually gives up the ghost I will most definately be purchasing another.
I haven't had this long but long enough to say 'don't buy one'. It is so bendy that it fires the items you are turning over all over the worktops!
