Beechwood Preserving Spoon

It's a nice quality and the head is a good shape but the hook is too far up the handle to hang on the side of my biggest pan without the spoon resting on the bottom, and is also just where I want to hold the handle. I wonder if I could take it off and re-glue it lower down? Also, a smaller version for use with smaller pans would be really good.

I purchased this with the Maslin pan and it has proved ideal. The hook makes it so much easier, no drips, and the flat bottom stirs well and stops any sticking. A brilliant product. Thank you Lakeland.

This product is exactly the reason why I have been shopping with Lakeland for decades! It is sturdy, great quality and most importantly: appears to be designed by cooks for cooks. As I seem to spend all Autumn making various chutneys, jams and other preserves; this spoon is the right size to get to the bottom of my preserving pan with ease and makes large batches so much easier to deal with. Thank you Lakeland for a simple and robust product that will last years (and I also have one for vinegar-based chutney and one for jam too).

It's great to be able to get a spoon with a flat end but it is indeed far too big. The hook, I agree, is great, but I find it unwieldy in use, such a shame, I've reverted to a large wooden spoon.

I make several pints of tomato based sauce in one go, in the Lakeland My Kitchen Stockpot & I have never found a spoon that would reach right to the bottom of the mix. Problem now solved thanks to this spoon. It is very long & very substaintal and in a few short weeks it has earned its place in my kitchen. I wouldn't be without it.
