Microwavable Oblong Food Storage Container 2.2L

Granted, little beats lockable storage boxes for liquid contents ... but these are the next best thing. They are easy to open and close and I have used them for leftover soup with little concern. Well done Lakeland. Could you not look at smaller volumes also? I have also used the bigger size for transporting muffins ... could you not consider making one that might fit a 2lb loaf cake?

I already had a few of these boxes that I use for general storage and bought half a dozen of a size that was ideal for freezing cupcakes. However today when I took the lid off one of them the lid just broke into pieces. There is nothing to say if these boxes are suitable for freezing but you would think they are.

Bought this for my son to use as a lunchbox but unfortunately the lid broke after 2 weeks. It is a nice-looking box but it wasn't robust enough.

I have always used Lock 'n Lock containers but on this occasion could not find the correct size so opted to purchase 2 of the 2.2 litre size of this one. What a mistake, they are not airtight and my baking, particular biscuit based ones go soft very quickly - not so bad for a sponge but very poor and would not recommend them. Do not like the way the box closes, you are not sure if it is closed or not. I cannot see me using them again and probably put them in the back of the cupboard until I find something suitable in the Lock 'n Lock range which are superb.
