Handy Lighter

I have had a Lakeland gas lighter for many years (similar to but not the same as the current one). I find I can use the nozzle already on the can of fuel, and don't need to add a different one. Sometimes there is slight leakage and it is a bit tricky making sure the nozzle is precisely centred on the inlet of the lighter, but with a little patience it is perfectly possible. I wonder if some reviewers are making the same mistake I once did of trying to refill into the top of the lighter instead of into the hole in the bottom?

I purchased this lighter 3-4 weeks ago to replace the same one I purchased years ago. My old one never let me down, that’s why I replaced it with the same type. This new one is not nearly as goo as my old one. Despite the lighter being full of gas I cannot get a flame and I’m having to revert to matches. Wish I’d kept my receipt and packaging and I’d have returned it. I disposed of the packaging as the previous lighter was such an excellent product. Have you changed manufactures?

This product is fine when first purchased but when it needs refilling it's an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. I took the first one I purchased back to the shop along with the refill canister . Although the member of staff was insistent there was nothing wrong with it she very kindly exchanged it for a new one. This one has now emptied and again I have been unable to refill it. It's impossible to see how much gas is actually in it and whether I have overfilled it and could this be the reason it will not work. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT unless you want to use it only once.

Bought one about weeks ago. When tried to refill doesn't work properly. Very very low flame when on high setting. Disappointed with purchase.

I purchased this lighter for my Aunt as she was having trouble lighting her cooker. It worked like a dream but has now ran out of gas. I have taken it home to refill but think I will have to throw it away as I found it impossible to refill. What was even more disappointing was reading all these other posts from 2009/10 citing the same problem - why hasn't it been recitified yet? Most unlike Lakeland - I am really quite shocked. Please, please rectify the problem.
