This is a very nice sharp knife, a good size and feels comfortable in the hand.

I appreciate that this is a cheap knife but it only lasted 4 months before the blade broke while cutting some cheese. My husband has contacted customer services who have been slow to respond. They asked us to return it to our local store but we disputed the logic of travelling around with a broken knife - especially under current COVID restrictions. We had already sent photos of the knife which clearly has ‘Lakeland’ on the blade! We are less concerned about the money - more worried about the safety issues concerning this item.

All my lakeland knives are high quality very sharp and perfect for slicing, chopping. Very comfortable to hold, not to heavy.

I wanted a serrated knife longer than the excellent Victorinox tomato knife; which cuts anything and everything beautifully. But I haven't found anything that this knife cuts happily. This is because it is spiked not serrated, so the spikes stick in everything.

I bought this knife 3 years ago with the serrated edge and paring knives in the same set. They were for a holiday home so they don't get hard or regular use. Up to now, they have been good knives - a until the blade broke. I expected it to last longer.
