Mermaid Mini Roasting Rack

This is the perfect size if there are only one or two of you, especially if you like to brown small joints of meat or chicken breasts on the hob and then finish them in the oven. It cleans very easily too.

I've no idea how this performs as a roasting rack, but as it's by Mermaid, I would imagine it is 1st rate. I bought this as a cooling rack for homemade bread. It's is the absolutely perfect size for the loaf from my panasonic bread machine and takes up far less room than a traditional cooling rack does.

I bought this to try in one of my oblong pyrex dishes, as I needed to make more use of the space in my oven when cooking for 5 with good appetites. It is PERFECT!!! It takes a reasonable sized joint/chicken and cleaning is a breeze. Dish and rack go in the dishwasher and both come out sparkling. No longer do I have to get to work in the sink to make sure both are clean. Suggestion - my other bugbear is grillpans. Why doesn't anyone do a grillpan with a stainless steel rack? I do a lot of grilling and am searching for a new large grillpan, preferably without chrome plated rack.

This is a perfect size for my much-loved and much used small roasting tin., and useful even insatandard sized ones. It recently held a a large (2.5 kg!) chicken perfectly, and the handles make it very easy to lift the roast out. Thankyou for giving the measurements clearly; so often, these are missing elsewhere, making it impossible to be sure of the size.
