"Dissapointed"

star star star star star_border

I have bought 2 round tins and 1 square tin on all of them the mixture leaks through during baking. It has happend when my daughter baked with them and when I did it. I feel they are a waste of money not to mention the time cleaning my oven after. My old cheap tins have never done this, these where not a good investment.

"burnt cakes"

Like the previous review I bought 2 of these tins and have tried them twice both times the sponge cakes have burnt on the outside definitely not suitable for a sponge cake.

"Leaking sandwich tins"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

About a year ago I bought 2 18cm. & 2 20cm loose bottom sandwich cake tins from Lakeland at Stirlingshire. I am fed up with them leaking, I have had to line tins to be able to use them. They are good heavy tins but the base is very lose so the sponge mixture leaks out. I have bought a lot of other baking tins from Lakeland and had no problem.

"Fabulous Tins"

After reading some of the reviews on here, I am beginning to wonder if I have purchased the same product. My history only goes back 3 months, I thought you could search back through 2014 / 2013 etc. These tins are the best ever. I have no problem with them whatsoever, in fact, they are so versatile. I have made sponges, quiches, and today a Delia chocolate truffle torte for the freezer for Christmas. I never put them in the dishwasher and also line them with the silicone rounds that Lakeland sell. I always butter my pans anyway. Never had a problem at all.

"Disappointed"

Bought the 20cm sandwich tin and agree with the other reviewers in that it is a lovely weighty well made item however I made a cheesecake for Easter in it (having used this recipe many times with no problems) and it stuck to the bottom of the tin despite being lightly greased - one ruined Easter pudding! I love Lakeland products but unfortunately this isn't one of the better ones. I wouldn't recommend.
