I've had mine for years and do 4 square Christmas cakes every year. They have been perfect every year. The recipe says to cook for 2 and a half hours, which they needed in my previous pan, but in this pan, 1hr 25 as the heat distribution is so good. Getting the cakes out is easy as you simply slide the sides away and lift the cakes out. Perfect size for brownies too.
Just bought a second set of dividers to increase my options when baking for fetes etc. These combined with the tin are wonderful. They also mean I can bake more per batch reducing the time the oven is switched on which pleases my husband !
My Mum bought this to make my big sisters 21st Birthday cake. She is now 42 and the pan has been passed down to me. It may have some baking war wounds but it is still in excellent condition and fingers crossed it will last another 21 years at least. Who knows, I may even be able to pass it down to my daughter!
I bought this cake tin and dividers to make 9 small cakes for Christmas presents - I used the recipe that came with the tin, and although I've never baked a fruit cake before they were absolutely delicious. They looked very impressive sitting on 6" round cake cards and wrapped in cellophane tied with ribbon. Huge success, thankyou!
I bought the pan and extra set of dividers and am very happy with them both. My cake cooked perfectly and easily came out of the tin. I'm considering buying another set of diveders so I can do 12 x 3inch christmas cakes for the PTA to sell at school.
