"Aga use"
These pans are excellent in the Aga as well as you can fit them all in at once. I use silicone liner sheets on them and no sticking or warping and I've had mine for a few years now. So glad to see them at Lakeland! Well worth the money.

Mermaid Mini Oven Tray Trio
Product number: 10721
Wouldn't we all like to make more efficient use of the space in our ovens, and save fuel costs into the bargain?
Mermaid's mini oven trays are the answer.
Sliding alongside your normal sized roasting dishes, they fill the 'gap' on an oven shelf and allow you to cook smaller portions.
Hard anodised, so guaranteed not to twist, warp or buckle at the highest temperatures, and with strong, solid bases so they can even stand the direct heat from a hob or grill.
Set of 3: roasting tray, shallow and deep dishes.
Please note: This product will benefit from being seasoned before use.
17 x 27cm (6½" x 10½" ). From 1 to 4cm (½" to 1½" ).

I love these pans and wish Lakeland would stock a larger range of them. The seasoning instructions from Mermaid's website are as follows:QUOTESeasoning a pan will help to start the 'patina' which develops a 'non stick' quality to the surface of the pan. To do this, put a generous layer of inexpensive cooking oil in the base of the tray or dish. Place in a hot oven (approx 200?C) for about 10 - 15 minutes and then allow to cool. Remove from the oven and dispose of the oil carefully. The bakeware should then be hand washed in warm soapy water, rinsed and dried. It is then ready to use - the more the product is used, the more 'non stick' the surface will become. UNQUOTEAlso below is what Mermaid says on their website about 'nicks' in the pans:QUOTEThese are contact points that hold the pan during the electrochemical process. It is an intrinsic part of the manufacturing process and will not affect the performance of the bakeware in any way.UNQUOTEI have had so many pans in the past that have warped, but these do not.

I use these all the time for everything from a steam tray just for steaming my bread to other small needs.People should realise that they must not put them in the dishwasher ever. The anodised surface will revert to plain aluminium over the course of several goes in the dishwasher. They should season them and they shouldn't use heavy oils in them like olive oil as they become sticky and create an almost solid layer of plastic like fat in them. Mermaid need to put out a video showing how to care for their pans, in the same way that other companies do. Mermaid pans are great if you season them and care for them in the right way. You can use knives on them with reasonable care, which is something you can't do with a coated non stick pan and they are tough and last a long time. I have cleaned mine with brillo pads when something has got burnt on and they have come up fine. All pans are not the same and need to be treated differently.

I bought this set along with the rack to fit, so I could use them in my combi oven, most roasting dishes with racks or grill pans are too large to rotate. This allows me to grill a few sausages or small chops etc; without having to put the full size grill on. Saving fuel and time. Although there are so many microwaves with grills or combi ovens now, it has taken me years to find cookware that fits on the turntable, particularly something suitable for under the grill, this works very well.
I've had these trays for about 2 years now - and dont, know how I ever managed without them! - they are used day in, day out - they are really tough and stand up to high oven temperatures. They don't have a non stick coating, so this can't ever start to peel off like so many of the cheaper baking trays - and they do get more non stick as you use them. What's more, they are so easy to keep clean - just a quick wash in warm soapy water. A great product! Thank you Lakeland..
