Stay Put Chopping Boards

I think these are wonderful chopping boards. I'm on my 2nd set after many, many years & they get used daily. The different colours prevent cross contamination not only of germs but smells too. Here the yellow board is relegated to use only for garlic, onions & very smelly herbs like chives. They have been part of the programme to teach my children about the importance of food hygiene. I've just ordered what seems to be my 3rd & final set, to hide in the back of a cupboard now that Lakeland won't be stocking them anymore :-( Serves me right for not giving them a rave review before.

I bought these boards a few years ago just using a couple at a time to protect our surfaces when cutting. They are really durable, don't damage the knifes edge and stay put. They are bright and cheery and easy to clean as the knife marks stay open and don't harbour any residue. Thy are a tad on the expensive side but the best I have found yet, I'm just about to buy my second set..

Sadly I had to return these boards . Although they are really sturdy I found they marked easily and after only a few weeks use the lines left by my knives (not particularly sharp ones) were quite deep and slivers of the plastic were visible and hanging from the boards. They washed well in the dishwasher but I felt unsure how hygenic the deep cuts were.
