At last an idiot-proof way to test if my cake's cooked. I've always had trouble telling if my cakes are fully done but I've now baked 2 perfect cakes using this simple tester. Hurray!

Tried cakes with it after the required time ........ nothing happened ........ tried again at 10 minute intervals and still nothing so I now have with two over cooked rather burned cakes. What a waste.

This is my second one and exactly the same happened after several uses, the black tip falls off and so renders it useless.

Will give this another try, but so far, it does not work for me :( Unfortunately, I do not live in England so returning it will not be possible until my next visit which is not for 5 months. I wil persevere and if my opinion changes, I will add a new review
