Clear Microwave Duo Egg Poacher

I am unable to use the poacher!After I have heated the water for one minute it is virtually impossible to lift the top due to the suction of the hot water and the tiny 'handle'. Have even tried lifting with spoon handle, without success! Oh well, back to the saucepan!

Not quite restaurant standard poaching, but once you get used to it this is one of the quickest ways to prepare your breakfast eggs - they will be ready well before the toast. Washing up is easier, too, than it is for many other methods of preparation. But a slotted spoon the correct size for lifting the eggs out of the poaching water would be a great addition. I use an ordinary spoon and it's too easy to break the cooked egg or not drain it fully.

It seems this little gem of an egg poacher was made for my microwave! I have just used it for the first time, followed the instructions to the letter and turned out two perfectly poached eggs. I can appreciate microwave power varies and some may have to make timing adjustments but I turned out two perfectly poached eggs first time. Love it!

Pleased with product as it does poached eggs in 30 seconds better than boiling pans of hot water which takes ages. If you prefer your egg a bit more done then place in microwave for a few more seconds. What could be simpler.

My husband poaches eggs for me, I love them but he doesn't so I thought this item would save him some hassle. Well! We have tried all combinations of time & water, and either end up with watery whites which I can't trust to be safe to eat, or rock solid yolks. Haven't managed even one decent egg yet. We cook two at a time but they don't cook evenly. Not easy to turn out, too easy to splash yourself with very hot water-not ideal before I have fully woken up! The ridges on the inside of the base are difficult to clean properly so not hygienic. Have finally thrown it away. Waste of money.
