Large Heat Diffuser

I used to have leaving a small pan simmering even on my lowest gas hob setting, this diffuser has absolutely solved the problem. Great bit of kit.

I had one of these for about 15 years & used it continuously. It finally turned up its toes. So I bought two replacements!

I bought this primarily because I have a small copper pan that I use when making small amounts of sauce, that won't safely stand on the grills over my gas hob. It works a treat for that but it also makes simmering sauces for longer great as once it gets up to temperature, it maintains a nice gentle heat level. It smells a bit when you first use it and you have to be careful to avoid splashing food or liquid on it as that will also smell the next time you use it as it burns off.
