"Brilliant!!" star star star star star I love my Bamix, it is used almost daily, to the extent I rarely use my Magimix. It is a breeze to clean, stick the end in a beaker of water with a drop of washing up liquid, switch on and it's done. The heads are very easy to change (maybe not so easy for someone with large fingers!) and it is very powerful. So easy to make mayonnaise with no need to drizzle in oil. It is expensive but with the manufacturers guarantee is definately worth the money.
"indispensible" star star star star star This little wonder will repay you in so many ways; it is such a useful gadget. I have had mine for nearly two years and it has never let me down. It can smooth out sauces, save the need to use the roux method, blend soups to perfection, make fantastic milk shakes and a hundred other things. It even comes with its own stand and mine lives on the worktop as I use it so often. I strongly recommend it, you won't regret buying this top quality little number.
"A blender plus" star star star star star This is more than a blender. The mincer attachment is really a small food processor and is very useful for chopping up, for example, a single garlic clove or blending together parsley and butter. You need to use a deep receptacle when using this device as it can throw the liquid or solid being processed out of a shallow one-use the slower speed. It's also great for finishing off a soup to get it really smooth. The other attachment that I use frequently is the little grinder bowl. It far better than most food processors in grinding nuts finely without them becoming oily. It's a boon for breaking down lumps in icing sugar to a fine powder. You don't need to wash it-just use a pastry brush to clean it out. My only criticism of the device is that the wand part cannot be removed for washing. I half fill a jug with soapy water and whiz it and then rinse with hot water.
"Used daily" star star star star star No regrets, worth every penny, used every day. Cleaning = rinsing under the tap. Their advice to keep it plugged in in its stand within reach of the sink and stove really does lead to very frequent use. The skin milk "cream" is true - but the skim milk has to be semi frozen first and it is more fluffy & like a 'loose mousse' than whipped cream (no oiliness at all), but certainly is very pleasant and a testament to how light it can whisk a liquid (such as a shake), dessert or batter. I have gone through several cheaper wand mixers in my time and decided to take the plunge with Bamix and have never regreted the investment.
"I love this" star star star star star You can't believe how versatile this is. Having bought it I now manage to make custard that doesn't split, mayonnaise that doesn't split, and the motor is so powerful that it whisks/beats less runny liquids with ease - the kind of mixtures that have broken my last 2 cheaper stick blenders. As it's out all the time on it's stand, it's just picked up and used most days - sauces, blending soups even foaming milk for hot chocolate and coffee. If you cook a lot, it'll be worth the cash.
