With a wide range of uses all around the kitchen, you’re going to want to make sure you have plenty of food-safe string to hand. This replacement Ball of String for our String Dispenser is great for everything from preparing joints of meat and poultry, to tying up herbs into a bouquet garni.

Made from cotton, this string is food grade quality and is incredibly strong and sturdy. With 45m of string wrapped into the ball, it will last you for many Sunday roasts or cooking sessions to come, and is always handy to have stashed away in the cupboard for when your dispenser runs out.

"String dispenser"

Like other users, I would like to add my plea to Lakeland to bring back the stainless steel string dispenser. I keep my string under the kitchen sink next to all kinds of dodgy substances and it needs to be protected, particularly if it is going to be used for culinary purposes. Please, please restock this important item.

"Difficult to get"

Invaluable for tying up roasts and securing puddings for steaming but so so difficult to buy in the shops for some reason. I'd like to add my plea to Lakeland to bring back the string dispenser and to never discontinue the replacement string!

"I Wish I Had The Dispenser Too!"

It is very hard to get food grade string so this is a great product. My only regret is that I didn't manage to buy the dispenser before it was discontinued - I hope it makes a return to Lakeland.

"Sorry I missed it"

As the other people have said, food grade string is very difficult to find and it would be nice to put it in the dispenser. I missed it!
