Sodastream drinks refill

I am pleased to see you have brought in the taste sampler pack. I bought a soda stream awhile ago and cannot find the drinks refills anywhere. Soda stream themselves are expensive for a single one. What a good idea you thought of.

Fabulous! (with a small 'however'...)

A great product - elegant looking, easy to use and makes fabulous fizzy water. Great for encouraging you to drink more water - and you can have it as fizzy or as gently sparkling as you want (and the fizz doesn't disappear as I feared it might). The only reasons I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 are (a) the boxes supplied for returning the empty cannisters are not that easy to assemble - ie you need copious amounts of parcel tape to make them up, and (b) you have to pay postage on the refills. I had (mistakenly) assumed from the catalogue that it refills were postage free. They are in terms of returning to Lakeland but not for getting them sent out to you. So it works out more expensive than I had anticipated. All that said, a fantastic product! ************************************** Added to original review in Feb 2010: point (a) no longer applicable - ie difficult to assemble return boxes requiring copious amount of parcel tape. The return boxes have now been improved and are easy to use.

Keeps me busy with the fizzy

This product does exactly what it says on the tin - it makes great fizzy drinks much more cheaply than the ones you can buy in the shops. However I've given the Soda Stream Pure four stars instead of five because of a little design problem. I have average strength (I think) but only small hands, and I found it quite difficult to assemble, particularly because every single part is smooth - there is nothing to grip while you're fitting the machine head into the body (which you have to do every time you change the cylinder). Also, the bottle is completely smooth, and my hand is too small to hold it firmly while screwing it upwards into the head, especially with the weight of a litre of water inside. In spite of this, I'm enjoying the drinks, and would have given the Soda Stream four and a half stars if I could.
