Battery problem

I also have had battery problems with these scales - in fact I returned the first set to the manufacturers as they were over a year old but despite rarely using them I've still had to replace the battery 3 times. I was sent a brand new set and not sure if I am just unlucky but the first time I took them out of the packet and tried to weigh, I got the battery symbol flashing and the unit switching itself off - very annoying. I am about to give up on this product and buy something else, a shame because they are great when they work.

Constant replacement of batteries

I agree with the first reviewer, the constant replacement of batteries is expensive and annoying. The actual scales are good during use and I always switch off the scales immediately that I have finished, but the batteries still expire after about 4 months. The previous Salter scales I owned contained batteries lasted for at least a year to 18 months.
This is the second time I have written this review, the last one appears not to have been published.
