It's nice to be recognised for all the hard work we do, but we think the biggest reward we get is when our customers are truly happy! Customer service is at the very heart of everything we do, so we are really proud of these awards and survey results that we've achieved, especially as many of them have been voted for by our customers:
June 2010 Which? - Best High-Street Retailer Survey
(joint 1st with Richer Sounds)
Lakeland was placed joint first out of 100 high street retailers in Which's High Street Shops Survey, June 2010. Gaining 5 stars for our service and quality of product, we were just pipped at the post, but we were proud as punch to have beaten many big high street names, such as John Lewis and Marks & Spencers.
November 2010 Which? - Best Online Shops Survey
Our website was placed 4th out of 78 online shops overall - but in our category, we came 2nd. The Which? survey added "Lakeland.co.uk in particular has been highlighted by members for its willingness to go beyond their expectations."
December 2010 Which? - Best Brand for Customer Service Survey
Out of 75 big brands rated for their customer service, we came 4th, with 5 stars across the board for making customers feel valued, our product knowledge, communication skills and how we deal with issues. Competing with major brands much larger than our own, such as Waitrose, Amazon, Apple etc, we're pleased our dedication to customer service has resulted in such confidence.
House Beautiful Awards 2010 - Best Online Retailer of the Year
Shortlisted with Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, Next and Argos, we were delighted to be given the Silver award for Best Online Retailer of the Year.
Britain's Best Retailer Awards 2010
Not one, but two Gold accolades were awarded to us from our industry peers at the prestigious Britain's Best Retailer Awards, organised by the much-respected Housewares Magazine.

The judges commented that they thought our website does everything right: "it looks superb, it's very easy to navigate, and if you're a cookery enthusiast, then this is like having a chat with another cookery enthusiast."
Best Multiple Housewares Retailer
For the third year running we won the much coveted Best Multiple Housewares Retailer, the judges noting that Lakeland "have always got an eye out for something innovative", "they listen to their customers and if the customers aren't happy they'll do something about it", One judge even said: "My view of a good product is, has it been listed by Lakeland?"
Excellence in Housewares 2010 - Honorary Achievement Award to Martin, Sam and Julian Rayner
Recognised as the 'Oscars' for the housewares industry, these awards shine the spotlight on retailers for their product innovation and service. Our Managing Director, Sam Rayner had this to say about the accolade: "It is an honour for us to receive this award on behalf of Lakeland, as it illustrates the wonderful relationship we have with the Housewares industry. They have a huge respect for the innovation and service that the Lakeland team have delivered over the years, and I look forward to us doing the same in years to come."
