Using your loaf for the best bread maker

We all know there's nothing quite like the evocative aroma of home baked bread, or the sight a crusty loaf on the cooling tray, just waiting to be eaten. Thanks to the wonders of bread makers, we can have freshly baked loaves whenever we want. Pre-set the bread machine so there's a hot granary cob for breakfast, savour soft, warm ciabatta for lunch and relish a sun-dried tomato slice for supper. Bread is such a traditional part of our diet that it's hard to imagine life without it. But buying bread over the counter is never going to compete with the pleasure of producing your own and with simple, safe bread makers you just can't go wrong. Forget about how our grannies did it, with their endless yeast preparation, kneading, waiting for the dough to rise and baking. You can buy ready-to-go bread mixes, or get your own ingredients together. Either way, a bread maker will take away all the work and most of the washing up! Did you know these amazing machines can even make cakes, pizza dough and jam? Tempted? Why wouldn't you be!
