Eco-friendly washing balls, saving you money on detergent. No conditioner is needed & they're ideal for sensitive skin.

Looking like a planet, Ecoballs are the new star of the greener laundry scene. We really like the fact they are refillable, with a sponge ring to reduce rattling in your washing machine. You can also choose to wash with one or two Ecoballs at once, depending on the size and soiling of your laundry load.

There’s more:

 • this starter pack gives up to 150 washes – that’s less than 7p per wash
 • the scientific formula reaches deep into textile fibres, lifting away dirt without fading colours or damaging delicates, and leaving no residue
 • Ecoballs soften clothes even in hard water, so no conditioner is necessary and you can skip the rinse cycle, saving money and water
 • ideal for sensitive skin and baby clothes, they are biodegradable, hypoallergenic and free from toxic chemicals.

1 stars out of 5 Cheesy!

by Jane

This product sounded promising, but when I read the poorly worded and sometimes non-sensical explanatory notes I began to wonder if it was worth the money after all. Unfortunately it did not live up to its claims, with clothes coming out smelling musty and, in the case of towels and certain synthetic sports wear fabrics, decidedly cheesy. I tried removing the balls (what a palaver) and giving the laundry a rinse, but it still ended up smelling worse than when it went in, even after drying outside on the line. But thanks for the no-quibble refund.

1 stars out of 5 Er ... nope

by Lynne

I read all the reviews before purchasing the Ecoballs. The majority were fairly negative, but thought I would give them a go. I'm not overly impressed. I was hoping to do away with my normal washing liquid, but this has proved not to be possible. They may be ok for washing dark items that aren't physically dirty, but for anything with a stain on or for towels (even drying clean hands leave marks) I wasn't impressed. I miss the smell of my washing powder (unable to dry outdoors) and so it's a lot of faff and hassle to stop the machine, wait for it to empty so I can remove the balls to put fabric conditioner through the final rinse - I know you're not supposed to have to do the final rinse, but I've adapted the routine. Having said that, the stain remover was effective - but you have to wait 10 minutes for it to soak into the fabric before putting on your wash. The end of the tube would benefit from some sort of nozzle so that it doesn't splodge (technical term) all over the place, as it's not very precise. The Ecoballs like a fabulous idea, but in practice, not impressed. I shall be taking advantage of Lakeland's super refund policy in the very near future.

4 stars out of 5 Brilliant for some things

by Simon

These are brilliant for washing wet suits and waterproof coats because they don't remove the waterproof surface like detergents. They're also good for washing curtains and lightly soiled items. However, they're not good for white towels as they tend to end up a shade of grey! They don't replace my usual detergent, but, for the above mentioned items, they're excellent.

This arrived the other day, and it is a fantastic utensil. I love pineapple, but was always put off buying them because of the faff of preparing them. Easy to use and great results.

customer review - Magic Oven Liner

Magic Oven Liner

5 stars out of 5 Save time on the dull stuff...

by Alison

The Magic Oven Liner saves you that nasty job of cleaning the base of your oven, so what more can you ask for? Saving you from one of those unpleasant jobs that you always put off until you really have to it is invaluable. I cut the liner to size so it sits neatly on the base of the oven and it wipes clean easily whatever falls onto it. Brilliant item!
