I bought this to use in the bath to stop hair clogging up the plug hole when I shower. It is a bit small to fit over the plug hole and therefore the suckers don't work very well, but it stays in place and seems to be effective -my partner is impressed by my find! I have only used when taking a shower though, I can imagine it might possibly 'float' away in a bath full of water, but have yet to try this.

I can't comment about it in the shower because I bought a Dossil to use in the kitchen, with a fairly deep plughole. But once water and bits of food land on it, the Dossil graciously folds in on itself under the weight and lets the food round the back. When it does 'catch' food, it collapses again when you pick it up to throw the food away.

The negative reviews surprise me. I've just bought this to replace the old, round version which lasted for several years, and I wouldn't be without a dossil! It is one of the simplest and most effective products I've ever bought from Lakeland: it stays in place in the shower; traps even relatively short hair; and generally saves a lot of cleaning time - I was always having to fish about in the plug hole to stop hair blockages. A 5-star product if ever there was one.
