Poor

I have used this a few times now & it has developed large cracks. The last and final time I used it I think I was lucky not to have gravy all over the floor.
Lakeland used to stock a large glass gravy separator which gave me many years of excellent service until I broke it. I went back to get a replacement but found they now only stock plastic with the above result.
Unfortunately I can only find 500ml glass separators elsewhere at the moment.
Please bring back the old large glass model.

Very disappointing

Like most of the reviews on the product I found the lid difficult, the bung pointless and after several uses the product cracked and leaked. I paid nearly 3 times as much for this jug thinking it would give good service wished I had bought the cheaper version.

We prepare a lunch for 19 members of our family every Sunday at my mothers and bought the 'big' jug to help with the gravy. The first time we used it, we failed to notice that the jug overflowed its very hot contents before the liquid reached the top - as the spout is lower than the sides! The jug was full of hot liquid and in order to get the stock from the fat you need to pour the stock out of the spout, but as we tried to remove the rubber bung which is attached to the strainer (which was full of vegetables) it was stuck so firmly into the jug that after spilling some of the hot fat on my hand we gave it up as too dangerous an activity. My wife has still been using it - without the bung - and even now she keeps forgetting that the jug cannot hold the full amount of liquid. I am consigning it to the bin as a very dangerous product before her feet get scalded as well as her hands.
