The impressive new Soup Maker from Cuisinart literally makes your soup from start to finish; all you have to worry about is chopping the veg and chucking it in! Cutting out the middle ‘pan’, it gets really hot so you can soften your onions and brown your veg nicely before you pour the stock in. Then, it’ll bubble away gently as it cooks, and all that’s left to do is flick a switch to blend to your desired consistency.

Simply Brilliant

I bought one of these recently thanks to the reviews on here, and again I am a big lover of the machine. Kath if you get drips into the collar, place on a good surface and the collar twists off, so you can get a cloth inside it for a wipe, but yes, agree a drip lip would be a good idea. Oh, and don't store the measuring cup inside the glass blender if your hubby like mine, doesn't check first before blending onions! Amazingly the blades can chop up a plastic measuring lid with great dexterity!

Brilliant, just brilliant

If you are wondering whether a soup maker is just another expensive gadget to clutter up your kitchen cupboards, please stop now. This gizmo is just brilliant.
Perfect soup with minimal washing-up guaranteed with such little effort that even busy people like me can produce a fantastic light meal with less than 10 minutes preparation and 15 – 30 minutes cooking. The large jug will make enough to feed three as a main course or four as a starter. Soup can be finished to a velvety texture that’s hard to beat.
Just one tip for use: wash, prepare and chop all your ingredients before switching the machine on, because the heating element gets hot and sautés onions and garlic very quickly.
And I bet that the Cuisinart won’t end up cluttering your kitchen cupboards. After trying a couple of recipes, you’ll use it so often that you’ll want to keep it handy on the worktop.
