Firstly, use the red part to cut out the cookie, then sit the clear part over the cookie and dust with icing sugar and sprinkles, or gently press to indent a design into the dough ready for icing. The rounded edges are kind to hands, and the two parts click together for storage.

Perfect for kids!

Really easy to use and great choice of styles. The best cutters around by miles! If a receipe booklet for different types of cookie doughs was included it would be even more perfect!!

Great set of cutters

I have a bit of a cookie cutter 'habit' so as soon as I saw this set I knew I would have to get it and I have to say I haven't been disappointed.
The best points are;
the good selection of designs (Xmas & Easter presents for teachers sorted!),
the open nature of the designs which mean that they actually work and your dough doesn't get stuck in small sections, whoever designed these obviously had some cookie cutter experience!
the clip on stencils which make decorating more fun (according to my 7-year-old),
and the fact that they are dishwasher safe.
My only minor criticism is that they are on the large side - strangely my kids don't seem to think this is a problem!
My only suggestion is that if they came with a storage bag they would be perfect.
The only down side is that I keep feeling the need to make more cookie dough just so I can use them...not good for the waistline! :-)

Gorgeous set of cutters

This is a beautiful set and would make a great gift for anyone from 2 years old to 82 and beyond.
The only thing I would say is to pay attention to the sizes quoted as some might find them a tad too big for cookies (I like cookies about the size of a digestive biscuit!)
That said, it's such a well made set and will take a keen cook through the whole year from spring to christmas for all of their life.
Great value for money.
