1 stars out of 5 It stinks!

by Professor Knight

Bought this as a replacement for the smaller caddy that Lakeland used to do, which worked really well for many years. Unfortunately, this one lets the smell out as the filter isn't quite bit enough to fill the opening it is designed for. I fixed this by adding 2 filters, but then realised that smell was still coming out as the lid is ill-fitting, and has gaps. Maybe we are unlucky and this is a badly made one. But it means we have to put it outside which totally defeats the purpose!

5 stars out of 5 Very Useful Caddy

by Melanie Lawrie

I have had my caddy for a few weeks. It is the perfect size for the cupboard under my sink and it is doing a fantastic job at preventing odours. I was previously storing compostible waste in a standard bin lined with a carrier bag and I had to empty it frequently to prevent odours building up. So far the handle has been fine, although it does appear to be a little flimsy. I like this so much I am ordering another for my parents who are keen composters!

3 stars out of 5 To replace or not to replace?

by Jeannie

I bought both sizes of the compost caddy/carry some years ago. Within a year the (very flimsy) handle on the larger one broke, but I continued to use the bin by carrying the whole thing to the compost pile. The hinge on the lids also broke but this took several years. Despite these problems I do like the bins, but I am loath to replace them with another one whose handle is going to break. Have you yet improved the handle or is it still thin and unsuitable for carrying a full (and heavy) bin down the garden? Do you do replacement handles? If the handle has been improved I would definitely recommend this product.
