5 stars out of 5 Great produce - no problems

by Kate

I purchased this in Dec/early Jan to deal with a mysterious water leak in the car (no idea exactly where the water is coming in). The carpet was actually wet to touch after it rained. We put the water eater in the footwell and it has done a great job of "eating" up the water. The carpet is better and the atmosphere in the car less damp. I have taken it into the house and dried it on the radiator twice when it felt a bit fat and heavy. I was anxious about how good it would be, as it felt pricey if it would have little impact but we are so pleased. No mould, no problems. Great product.

2 stars out of 5 Ate the water but went mouldy

by jane

Certainly absorbed the water from my daughters bedroom window but then went mouldy within a month. Should have bought two moisture traps for the price of one water eater!

It's always disappointing to hear that one of our products has not been up to our usual standards. I'll be in touch about the water eater, please accept my apologies.

Don't understand the adverse comments this product has received. Yes, it gets dusty, but mouldy? Never! I bought 2 when they first appeared in Lakeland's catalogue. They are still doing exactly as described and mould free.
