1 stars out of 5 Decent ice cream

by Fabienne

The motor started rocking from side to side from the word go...So much so I ended up taping it down in order for it to stay put...Last summer it just did not want to stay on its base, it was very frustrating to have to stay in the kitchen to check all was working properly. This detachable motor system needs to be improved. I wish I had not bothered with this design myself especially because I also bought a spare disc and I found it leaking over Easter :'(...I am very depressed I paid £49.50 plus bought an extra bowl for this. I wish Lakeland had done their homework.

1 stars out of 5 Disappointed

by Mrs Walsh

This is my second Phillips Delizia. I had the first for years and only bought the more recent model when I could not get a new disc for my old model. I have been very disappointed with this one as it never seems to freeze the icecream completely - it is always slightly too soft and sometimes even liquid. The disc is kept in the freezer so should not be a problem. Lakeland have already replaced the disc once and it is still not right. I think I will buy another model next time.

5 stars out of 5 Only one problem

by Lisa

The only problem we have found is that we now eat too much icecream! Have had maker for about 3 months and have made lots of different icecreams from the recipes in the booklet and from elsewhere. Have had no problems with any of them freezing and have tried a number of different bases - milk, syrup, ready made custard and homemade custard. It doesn't freeze solid in the machine but is perfectly ok to have from there but as I tend to make it earlier in the day I tend to put it in the freezer anyway. You do have to do more than for the complete icecream makers but for 1/6 or so of the price what do you expect! I keep the disc in the freezer and no sign of any leaking but I do make sure I don't put anything on top of it and I keep it in a plastic bag to make sure it doesn't get ice on it. I also use a rubber spatula to transfer icecream to tubs (from Lakeland :)) to make sure I don't damage the disc. Favourites so far have been raspberry, chocolate fudge and white chocolate. Also a huge plus is that it is so easy to wash up - always a big issue for me!

Wonder Whisks

5 stars out of 5 The only whisks I use

by Rosalind

Such a multitude of uses from such a simple design. I don't actually own any other sort of manual whisk any longer as I prefer to use these for pretty much everything.
