Coat the silicone lightly with oil, crack your egg into the pod, and float in boiling water. Once cooked, flip the pod inside out to release the domed egg.

they look good but they are difficult to clean, water easily comes in at the sides when cooking, the eggs always seem to break as i try to get them out if you persevere then put the saucepan lid on otherwise they do take quite a long time gone back to a normal poacher and will try and find another use for these

Having tried a variety of egg poachers over the years, I had such high expectations for this product and was so disappointed by what it delivered. Having tried them twice now, once with pan lid and once without, they do not poach the eggs well at all. In order to get a firm white you have to cook them far too long which leaves you with a hard yoke.... not good when I like a runny yoke! I will be returning these to the store and will go back to poaching my eggs the good old fashioned way.

One of those gadgets you didn't realise you needed until you've got it. Just used mine for the first time, and the pan has emerged in pristine condition. To the lady who said they took ages to cook - I thought this was going to be a problem but then covered the pan to see what would happen and the egg was done in literally seconds! Easy to decant the finished product by running the fork round the side of the pod - job done! Worth a couple of pounds to save the mess of washing up.

This mini-chopper is great. It is just the right size to be useful, not too big to take up unnecessary space and is powerful enough to chop up nuts.
